Goals belong to a review cycle and an objective, and count towards each employee's score according to the cycle's weightage.
Create a goal
- Open Performance → Goals/KPIs and select Create Goal.
- Ownership and alignment: the Review Cycle, who the goal is for (Goal For) and the Objective it supports.
- Goal details: a title, description, start date and due date.
- Measurement and weight: the Measurement Unit (for example %, ₦ or a count), the Starting Value, the Target Value and the Goal Weight (%).
- Save.
Create many goals at once
Use Bulk Create → Upload File with the template, then check Reports for any rows that failed.
Goal settings
The Settings tab on Performance → Goals/KPIs holds your organisation's goal rules:
- Goal Visibility: whether everyone can see each other's goals, or only their reporting lines.
- Goal Creation Restrictions: stop employees creating or editing their own goals, or stop managers creating goals for their reports.
- Rating Scale: the scale goals are rated on.
- Additional Settings: whether employees and managers can update goals and achievement, including after the due date, and whether goals close automatically when they're due.
Select Save Settings when you're done.
